Explore the McKenzie
The Mckenzie River is known for its world-class white water rafting, fishing, hiking and biking. The McKenzie River Trail has several premier fishing holes, amazing waterfalls, and picturesque scenes along a recreational trail system. There is so much to see and do just minutes from The Log Cabin Inn.
Hiking and Biking
The Mckenzie River Trail begins about 1 mile east of McKenzie Bridge. This 26.5 mile hiking trail is rated easy and provides hikers and bikers with views of the river, lava beds, waterfalls, lakes and old growth forests. There is about 1,750 ft elevation gain and the upper segment is the most technical for mountain biking.
Golf
Tokatee Golf Club is just minutes away and everyone is welcome! This 18-hole public golf course was designed by Ted Robinson and highlights the views of the mountains while incorporating the logging history of the area. Make sure you make your tee time in advance during peak season.

Hot Springs
There are three different hot springs within minutes of Log Cabin Inn.
Belnap Hot Springs is situated along the McKenzie River and is a destination in its self. The lodge provides
Terwilliger (Cougar) Hot Springs has four soaking pools spaced apart with temperatures ranging from 85* to 112*. You hike about 1/4 mile trail from the parking area to this clothing optional hot springs in the forest for a more natural experience.
Bigelow Hot Springs is a small sand and gravel pool that is only accessible when the river is lower.
Kayaking
The Mckenzie offers world class rapids for the adventure seeking kayakers. On the other hand, Clear Lake, just 30 minutes away, offers kayak and boat rentals for the paddler looking for calm waters.
Dee Wright Observatory
At the Summit of the Mckenzie Highway (242) is an incredible field of lava. The Dee Wright Observatory sits 5,187 feet and you will have a panoramic view. This is a place you have to experience!
Tamolitch, The Blue Pool
Tamolitch or The Blue Pool is just minutes away from Log Cabin Inn. The hike to this Instagram famous pool is rated moderate. Make sure you pack sturdy shoes! This hike is part of the McKenzie River Trail.
Waterfalls
Along the Mckenzie River you will find several waterfalls- Sahalie Falls, Koosah Falls, Proxy Fall, and Terwilliger Falls are all 30 minutes or less from Log Cabin Inn.
Live Music
The Mckenzie General Store is a great place to grab food and drinks, but they also offer live music on Thursday and Saturday from May to September.
